The Long Road to Nowhere: Day 2
January 13, 2009 (Tuesday)
4:20 means its time to change my patch. I was back at the same Wal-Mart I started from, this time with my little brother K in tow (we were birthday shopping for my dad). The alarm on my phone went off and I decided to change in the car again. I peeled the fresh patch off its foil backing and gave it to my brother to smell.

K
As an aside, if you ever get a chance to smell the underside of a nicotine patch, I highly recommend you do so. K likened it to burnt nitro, and I think that’s pretty accurate.
I stuck it on my shoulder this time. The cravings have been under control for about a day now, and I still feel fine. The throbbing pain is getting worse, however, and I fear it might become a problem. The warm tingle has become more of a dull ache that sits across my chest and part of my lower jaw. I was worried they were heart pains until I rememberd which side my heart was on. Good thing I’m not a doctor.
I’m still craving dank. I wish they made THC patches, or sticks of gum that tasted like hemp. Oh well . . .
